Gotu Kola's Direction IV of IX

Gotu kola can be eaten raw straight from the plant yard or chopped as to garnish on meal like parsley. It has a slight bitter flavor. The leaves can be used as fresh or dried and can be sweetened with honey and it would not be "over eaten" because it may cause headache, dizziness or too much energy and sleeplessness at bed time.

Gotu lola is rich source of chlorophyll, Vit A,B,C,D and K and particularly the mineral magnesium. The plant is easy to grow and is known to adapt to any kind of soil. It is found in the swampy area especially in all topical countries like the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, and South Africa.

Be aware, the leaves are fan shape like different kinds of coins with very slender legs, hence its common names Indian pennyworth, marsh penny and water penny worth.
