CANADA update

Canada was ranked 8th globally, in a tie with Australia and Netherlands in it's index that assesses international perceptions of corruptions in 180 countries.

Research said the top 5-least corrupt countries are: New Zealand, Denmark, Singapore, Sweden, and Switzerland. While the 5-most corrupt countries are: Iraq, Sudan, Myanmar, Afghanistan and Somalia.

Socioeconomic status is supposedly related to differences in diet and nutrition, stress-level, health-related behavior like smoking and drinking, access to medical services department to getting vacation.

"Inroads"- a Canadian publication offered an insight why in Canada, the rich have been getting richer and the poor, poorer is that men with higher incomes are marrying only women with equally high incomes. The technical term for this new trend is "educational homogamy" or the tendency of like to marry like. Well-educated men and women attend to marry each other and subsequently have higher earnings and low rate of unemployment.

BE aware, a Greek philosopher once proclaimed: "only the educated are free". Sadly, education is not free.
