Being HAPPIER

Dr. Gerald Bell said: "You are 100% responsible for your own happiness. It's not up to someone else to fix it for you." Work is a potential source of happiness- when you see it as a privilege rather than a choice. Pursue work that makes you happy. If you are happy, you generally become more generous, compassionate and open. When you help others, you feel better about yourself, and in turn when you help yourself, you are more inclined to help others. This cycle can make life's burden easier to bear.

In order to increase happiness, you should engage in rituals that can give structure to what you do - studying, pursuing a career, or sustaining relationship. If you don't have a structure, you are likely to live a reactive life and just go with the flow, good or bad.

Be aware, that the more complex your life becomes, the more difficult it is to enjoy each moment. Always remember that happiness is mostly dependent on your state of mind.
